Landscape is a major object concerned by sustainable development. Thus, this study aims to explore the relationship between landscape and biodiversity. It is a contribution to a local land planning operation on the Apance-Amance area (Haute-Marne, France). Different ornitho-ecological units are defined by field investigations and then classification processing. This one leads us to identify some discriminant landscape criteria related to each ornitho-ecological unit. Then, the link between the recognized landscape criteria and different G.I.S. information layers is established. Most of the used data are obtained from a satellite image (SPOT XS+P channels) and a digital elevation model. The formalization of links between filed observations and G.I.S. data base leads to establish an operator for mapping the potential distribution of the ornitho-ecological units. A synthetic map shows up the obtained results.
