Resumen : Exposicion de las propuestas teoricas de Borges sobre el genero literario. Se plantea la pertinencia de aplicarlas en el analisis de su propia obra. Se discute su validez como herramienta critica, su influencia en la critica ulterior y su relacion con el conjunto del pensamiento del autor. Palabras clave : Borges, genero, recepcion, hibridez generica, critica creativa Abstract : Relation of Borges’ theoretical ideas about literary genre. We comtemplate the suitability of applying these ideas in the analysis of Borge’s own work; wheter they are valid as a critical tool, its influence in ulterior criticism as well as its relation within the overall thinking of the author.
