The objective of this paper is to describe strategies used by the institutional subject in the legał and political discourse after World War II. The materials constituting the basis for this paper comprise representative texts for the above-mentioned discourse of this period, i. e. Bolesław Bierut’s report entitled On the Constitution of the Peoples Republic of Poland and presented at a session of the Constituent Sejm, and the preamble to the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Poland of 1952. The point of view of the institutional subject was not coincident with that of the collective subject - the whole of Polish society did not identify with the socialist State and its strongly centralized structure where the political and economic power, as well as ideology, were in the hands of one party. In order to persuade society to accept the new political system and to impose their own worldview and values, communists used various propaganda strategies.
