The study aims to investigate the fallout of the COVID-19 emergency in terms of subjective legal situations subject to limitation period (prescription or ?decadence?). The Italian legislation introduced in recent months attempts to solve some problems, but appears, in many ways, incomplete and inorganic. The interpreter is required to identify suitable solutions to protect the holders of temporally limited rights, to prevent them from being radically compromised in the absence of explicit suspension of terms
