description

The article presents an outline of Gen. Kazimierz Młodzianowski’s biography (1880–1928), who was a son of an insurgent from January Uprising 1863 as well as a representative of Pilsudski’s Camp. As a young man, Gen. Młodzianowski used to be a promising painter, but due to The World War I break-out, he gave up his previous profession so as to devote himself to struggling for Polish independence. He served in Polish Legions during the war and later when Poland had regained political unity, he was an officer of Polish Army and a civil servant. During that time (1919–1928) he had a function of The Commissioner of Police Force, The Chief of The Officer Cadet School of Polish Army in Warsaw, Poleski Voivode, Minister of Internal Affairs and Pomeranian Voivode. After May Coup led by Marshal Pilsudski in Poland in 1926, the opponents of the general accused him of being responsible for removing the enemies of a new government administration. However, he first of all went down in history as a supporter of democratic right projects giving equal rights to all minorities who lived in The Second Republic of Poland.
