Questions about the governance of L'Arche after the publication of the report on Jean Vanier
Benoît Pigésubject
[SHS] Humanities and Social Sciencesdescription
Concerning the Jean Vanier affair, the elements put forward in the media are: an independent Commission composed of experts, facts that go beyond understanding, a mystical sect. Everything seems to have been said, especially since it is based on a report of "900 pages". However, the reading of the report, but also the interventions of the international manager of L'Arche, show that the commission was not about finding new victims, but about understanding what had allowed this deviation. The purpose of this article is, through a critical reading of the Commission's report on Jean Vanier, to question the possible questions of governance that concern the communities of L'Arche and its International Federation.
