The aim of this article is to analyze the agreement of the past participle in Computer mediated communication, especially on Facebook. The graphic realization of the past participle agreement is considered as one of the main difficulties of the French orthography which is characterized by its extreme opacity. Breaking this rule can be compared in the French culture to a sort of a linguistic taboo. The aim of our study is to answer the question if the simplifications of the agreement of the past participle are allowed in Computer mediated communication or if they are considered as a kind of linguistic taboo. To answer this question, we have of a corpus of 200 past participle agreements downloaded from Facebook.
