Resumen : El articulo analiza la obra de Cristina Garcia, autora cubano-americana, enmarcandola en la problematica de la literatura posnacional y su cuestionamiento de las categorias tradicionales de adscripcion identitaria. La autora se centra en analizar el modo en que la obra de Garcia evoluciona desde la tematizacion de las raices a la aceptacion de la biculturalidad y, finalmente, al deseo de ir mas alla de esa condicion y explorar la condicion posnacional en sus multiples conexiones. Abstract: This article analyzes the work of Cristina Garcia, a Cuban-American author, and puts her in he context of the Postnational literature debate. This article also explores how Cristina Garcia’s work questions the identity membership of traditional categories. The author focuses on the analysis of the different ways in which Garcia’s work evolves from the thematization of the roots/grassroots to the acceptance of biculturalism. Finally, this article also proposes an approach to the Postnational condition in its multiple connections. Key Words: Cristina Garcia, Globalization, Identity, Postnational, Cuban-american Culture.
