The Crown of Aragon plays a leading role in the Western politics towards Othman expansion and conquest in the Balcans, together with the Italian merchant cities. The article describes the premises of the support given by Alfonso the Magnanimous to the Albanian resistence leaded by Giorgio Skanderbeg and to the immigration of Albanian people to Southern Italy after the Othman conquest of their land.
