Merced a su considerable producción de películas, a la complejidad de sus relatos y a la probada capacidad para reflejar los ambientes, los modos de vida y la mentalidad de las épocas que sirven a aquellos de inspiración y referencia, el cine de ficción representa una de las fuentes documentales más poliédrica, variada y rica en información de la que pueden servirse los investigadores. Este trabajo indaga sobre ello a partir de varios ejemplos representativos. Fiction cinema represents one of the most polyhedral, varied and information-rich documentary sources that researchers can use, thanks to their considerable production of films, the complexity of their stories and the proven ability to reflect environments, ways of life and the mentality of the epochs that serve as inspiration and reference to their plots. This work inquires about it from several representative examples.
