Prezentācijā iekļauts arī programmas Apvārsnis 2020 raksturojums un tajā paredzētās prasības zinātnisko rakstu publicēšanai brīvpieejā.

The paper aims to revise the traditional opinion, based on D. 9.4.21.1 (Ulp. 23 ad ed.), that in the noxal proceeding a non dominus could never defend a slave absent in iure. According to the author no technical reason justifies this opinion and D. 9.4.39.1 (Iul. 9 dig.) contradicts it. Therefore D. 9.4.21.1 should be interpreted in a differet way: a non dominus could defend a slave absent in iure by giving a positive answer to the interrogatio ‘an servus in potestate eius sit’; otherwise he would have to produce the slave in court, if in possession of him, in order to allow the claimant the ductio.

In human umbilical vein endothelial cells and in human umbilical vein endothelial cell-derived EA.hy 926 cells, staurosporine (Stsp) and its glycosidic indolocarbazole analogs 7-hydroxystaurosporine (UCN-01) and 4'-N-benzoyl staurosporine (CGP 41251) enhanced nitric-oxide synthase (NOS) III mRNA expression (analyzed by RNase protection assay), protein expression (determined by Western blot), and activity [measured by rat fetal lung fibroblast (RFL-6) reporter cell assay] in a concentration- and time-dependent manner. First case in Italy of acquired resistance to oseltamivir in an immunocompromised patient with influenza A/H1N1v infection

A pandemic influenza A/H1N1v strain with the neuraminidase H274Y mutation was detected in nasal secretions of a 2-year-old leukemic patient with influenza-like illness after 18 days of treatment with oseltamivir. At baseline, no drug-resistant virus was found, while 4 days after treatment initiation a mix- ture of wild-type and mutated virus was detected. After treatment interruption, the wild type influenza virus re-emerged and became prevalent in nasal secretions after a few days, suggesting the lower fitness of the mutated virus strain.
