In replacing the viscous damper which dissipates the kinetic energy of the vehicle due to rough roads or obstacles more marked an electromagnetic damper is used that performs the functions of the viscous damper allowing a recovery of electricity. The damper is of the electromagnetic type with permanent magnets and its operation is based on the phenomenon of electromagnetic induction. The mathematical model describes the operation of the damper restoring the values of the electrical and mechanical magnitudes as a function of the relative speed between the rod and the stator. Energy recovery has been estimated considering an electric minicar that transits on a bumpy road. The recovered power has a total value of about 250W.

Nuclear liquid-gas phase transition and supernovae evolution

It is shown that the large density fluctuations appearing at the onset of the first order nuclear liquid-gas phase transition can play an important role in the supernovae evolution. Due to these fluctuations, the neutrino gas may be trapped inside a thin layer of matter near the proto-neutron star surface. The resulting increase of pressure may induce strong particle ejection a few hundred milliseconds after the bounce of the collapse, contributing to the revival of the shock wave. Abstract The photo-stability of Polystyrene-Polybutadiene-Polystyrene (SBS) based nanocomposites containing bare multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and carbon nanotubes bearing carboxylic functional groups (CNTs-COOH) in comparison to that of pristine SBS has been studied. The photo-oxidation of pristine SBS occurs through crosslinking reactions and oxidized species formation and both these processes begin at early stage of exposure. The Gaia-ESO survey: Discovery of a spatially extended low-mass population in the Vela OB2 association

The nearby (distance~350-400 pc), rich Vela OB2 association, includes $\gamma^2$ Velorum, one of the most massive binaries in the solar neighbourhood and an excellent laboratory for investigating the formation and early evolution of young clusters. Recent Gaia-ESO survey observations have led to the discovery of two kinematically distinct populations in the young (10-15 Myr) cluster immediately surrounding $\gamma^2$ Velorum. Here we analyse the results of Gaia-ESO survey observations of NGC 2547, a 35 Myr cluster located two degrees south of $\gamma^2$ Velorum. Abstract Aiming to investigate the steel truss–concrete stress transfer mechanism in Hybrid Steel Trussed–Concrete Beams (HSTCBs), a three-dimensional (3D) nonlinear Finite Element (FE) model is developed.
