Spatiotemporal properties of nanoshell plasmonic response for strong-field experiments

International audience; Field enhancement behavior of a SiO 2 /Au nanoshell is studied in the framework of strong-field physics. Localized plasmonic fields induce local electric field enhancement with the potential to lead to the strong-field regime without the use of costly amplified lasers. In this framework, electrons are tunnel ionized from the nanoshell and accelerated by the local field being spatially inhomogeneous in terms of spectral and polarization properties. These processes are happening within a single laser shot, and thermal effects are therefore neglected. Development of a Taekwondo Combat Model Based on Markov Analysis

The purpose of the present study was to examine male and female Olympic taekwondo competitors' movement patterns according to their tactical actions by applying a Markov processes analysis. To perform this study, 11,474 actions by male competitors and 12,980 actions by female competitors were compiled and analyzed. The results yielded 32 significant sequences among male competitors and 30 among female competitors. Male competitors demonstrated 11 sequences initiated by an attack, 11 initiated by a counterattack, and 10 initiated by a defensive action. Sono stati analizzati tramite rilassometria NMR ed acquisizioni MRI dosimetri gel di tipo Fricke realizzati utilizzando un'innovativa matrice gel sintetica e tessuto equivalente: Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) attivando chimicamente il processo di gelificazione tramite l'aggiunta di Glutaraldehyde (GTA). Questi gel sono stati irradiati con fasci di fotoni (LINAC) nel range 0--20 Gy. Per valutare la sensibilità a fotoni è stata studiata la dipendenza dei tempi di rilassamento nucleari dalla dose e dalla concentrazione di ferro nei gel. Background A low physical activity (PA) level in pregnancy is associated with several adverse health outcomes. Early identification of pregnant women at risk of physical inactivity could inform strategies to promote PA, but no studies so far have presented attempts to develop prognostic models for low PA in pregnancy. At the same time, the spectra resulting from these computations become increasingly more cumbersome to analyze. Here, we describe the GUI implementation into the Amsterdam Density Functional (ADF) software package of VCDtools, a toolbox that provides a user-friendly means to analyze VCD spectra. Reconstructing a “forma mentis”, a mindset, and its changes, means capturing how individuals perceive topics, trends and experiences over time. To this aim we use forma mentis networks (FMNs), which enable direct, microscopic access to how individuals conceptually perceive knowledge and sentiment around a topic, providing richer contextual information than machine learning.
