Abstract This proposal aims at analyzing the Italian initiative “Case a 1 €” launched in 2009 for the preservation of abandoned goods, in Gangi, a small village near Palermo. The Municipality has put for sale the ruined houses for the symbolic prize of 1 €. As this initiative has been imitated by other municipalities in Italy and thus become a model, my intention is to explore how it works based on two different levels of investigation, in terms of: 1) contractual schemes (parties and respective rights and obligations) and 2) policy choices, comparing proposed and achieved goals by the administrations and the parties. Kelin (Caudete de las Fuentes, València) es un oppidum ibérico con una ocupación entre finales del siglo VII hasta el I a.C., que se consolida como lugar central ya a finales del V a.C. Kelin organizó su territorio en base a un patrón de asentamiento jerarquizado que incluía asentamientos de rango superior (oppida), granjas, caseríos y establecimientos rurales, atalayas fortificadas y lugares cultuales como necrópolis, cuevas y santuarios. Many urban areas suffer from water scarcity although paradoxically, a local source such as rainwater is mostly treated as a risk rather than a valuable resource. This change of paradigm is included in the 'integrated water resources management' and 'demand management' approach. The aim of this research is to identify and analyse studies that explore subject matters concerning rainwater in the integrated management systems of water resources into developed countries. The development of new models of work organization and the complementary advance of flexible guidelines for the use of the labor force had as a correlate a profound change in techniques for the evaluation of workers. Electrochemical abatement of chloroethanes in water: Reduction, oxidation and combined processes

An electrochemical route, based on the anodic oxidation to carbon dioxide coupled with the cathodic reduction to de-halogenated hydrocarbons, was proposed for the treatment of waters contaminated by chloroethanes. The electrochemical abatement of two model compounds, namely 1,2-dichloroethane and 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane, was carried out by cathodic reduction at silver, anodic oxidation at boron doped diamond (BDD) and combined processes. The anodic oxidation gives rise to a high abatement of the concentration of both these compounds and of COD.
