Capacity-based indicators of soil physical quality (SPQ) and pore distribution parameters were proposed to assess the effects of compost amendment but their determination was limited to desorption water retention experiments. This study also considered the pore size distribution obtained from adsorption experiments to establish the effectiveness of compost amendment in modifying the physical and hydrological attributes of a sandy loam soil. Charged-current (anti)neutrino-$^{40}\mathrm{Ar}$ cross sections for astrophysical neutrinos have been calculated. The initial and final nuclear states were calculated using the nuclear shell model. The folded solar-neutrino scattering cross section was found to be $1.78(23)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}42}\phantom{\rule{4pt}{0ex}}{\mathrm{cm}}^{2}$, which is higher than what the previous papers have reported. The contributions from the ${1}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${2}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ multipoles were found to be significant at supernova-neutrino energies, confirming the random-phase approximation (RPA) result of a previous study. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on tarkastella nuorten huumeiden käytön ilmiötä. Tarkaste-lunäkökulma on narratiivinen ja tutkimusaineisto koostuu huumeita käyttävien nuorten aikuisten kertomuksista nuoruudestaan. Tutkimusaineiston olen kerännyt erään kaupungin sosiaali- ja terveysneuvonnan seitsemää asiakasta haastattelemalla. Toteutin tutkielman perehtymällä ensin teoreettiseen viitekehykseen, jonka jälkeen keräsin aineiston. Haastateltavien kertomusten perusteella pyrin vastaamaan tutkimuskysymykseeni siitä, minkälaista on alaikäisen nuoren huumeiden käyttö aikuisiän kertomuksissa. Reliable estimates of the nutrient fluxes carried by rivers from land-based sources to the sea are needed for efficient abatement of marine eutrophication. Although nutrient concentrations in rivers generally display large temporal variation, sampling and analysis for nutrients, unlike flow measurements, are rarely performed on a daily basis. The infrequent data calls for ways to reliably estimate the nutrient concentrations of the missing days. Recentemente, il timore riguarda i possibili effetti causati agli ecosistemi boschivi: infatti, gli ecosistemi forestali e quelli a essi contigui, come pascoli e prati permanenti, apparentemente più resilienti rispetto ad altri tipi di ecosistemi, ne subiscono l'aggressività in modo significativo e, anche in forza di provvedimenti legislativi, la pianificazione e gestione silvopastorale è chiamata a prestare sempre più attenzione a questo tema.
