En el año 1860 se consumó el derribo total de la antigua Casa de la Ciudad de Valencia. ¿Edificio ruinoso o deliberadamente arruinado? A un cierto deterioro inicial no atendido correctamente se sumó el oprobio, la desidia, la inoperancia y la nefasta gestión de un gobierno municipal que cambiaba de presidencia con demasiada asiduidad en virtud de los vaivenes políticos y sociales. A ello se sumaron intereses económicos derivados de las nuevas alineaciones viales circundantes. El presente estudio desvela los pormenores de la pérdida de uno de los tantos edificios sucumbidos en la Valencia del siglo XIX. (A)

The present report describes a case of COVID-19 presenting with acute mesenteric ischemia (AMI) and subsequent acute limb ischemia (ALI). Presentation of case An 84-years old hospitalized female patient presenting diabetes and recent COVID-19 reported acute onset of abdominal pain and typical findings of AMI. The median arcuate ligament syndrome (MALS) is a rare disease characterized by abdominal pain caused by the external compression of the celiac artery by the median arcuate ligament. Surgical treatment is indicated, but given the non-specific symptoms, these patients are often hospitalized in the Departments of Internal Medicine where the diagnosis may be unknown. We present a case of MALS admitted to our Internal Medicine Division. ABSTRACT: The duality between good and evil is a common topic in all civilizations regardless of chronology or geographical location. It is a conflict reflected in art history, and on the present occasion, through the iconographic types of Cain killing Abel as well as Tur murdering Iraj. The roots of these myths are deeply embedded in two highly relevant written sources, the Bible and the Shahnameh or The Book of Kings . The latter was written by the great Iranian poet Ferdowsi.
