RadioAstron reveals a spine-sheath jet structure in 3C 273

We present Space-VLBI RadioAstron observations at 1.6 GHz and 4.8 GHz of the flat spectrum radio quasar 3C 273, with detections on baselines up to 4.5 and 3.3 Earth Diameters, respectively. Achieving the best angular resolution at 1.6 GHz to date, we have imaged limb-brightening in the jet, not previously detected in this source. In contrast, at 4.8 GHz, we detected emission from a central stream of plasma, with a spatial distribution complementary to the limb-brightened emission, indicating an origin in the spine of the jet. The Gulf of Patti and its onshore sector represent one of the most seismically active regions of the Italian Peninsula. Over the period 1984–2014, about 1800 earthquakes with small-to-moderate magnitude and a maximum hypocentral depth of 40 km occurred in this area. Historical catalogues reveal that the same area was affected by several strong earthquakes such as the Mw = 6.1 event in April 1978 and the Mw = 6.2 one in March 1786 which have caused severe damages in the surrounding localities. Ab initio study of the C60+Na system

Abstract In this work we present the first CAS-CI calculation of the potential-electronic curves for the lowest states of the C 60 +Na system using a set of local orbitals. These orbitals permit to select a small active space describing the ionic interaction between the C 60 and the Na atom. A binding energy of about 3 eV has been found, a value substantially larger than previous theoretical results.

Anti-HCV tests were positive in 18–45% of sera from patients with autoimmune chronic active hepatitis. High gammaglobulin levels may result in false positive results, however, some sera show true positivity. Recent attacks by nation-state adversaries have targeted these organisations by exploiting known attack vectors. In this paper, open-source intelligence (OSINT) is gathered from organisations using Azure AD to explore the current attack surface. OSINT is collected from Fortune 500 companies and top 2000 universities globally.
