Aim: To describe the characteristics of scientific production in Latin America and the main international collaboration networks for the period 2000 to 2009. Material and Methods: Search for papers generated in Latin American countries in the Clinical Medicine database of ISI Web of Knowledge v.4.10 - Current Contents Connect. The country of origin of the corresponding author was considered the producing country of the paper. Pētījuma teorētiskajā daļā tiek pētīti avoti par puritānismu, puritāņu reliģiskajiem uzskatiem un attiecībām starp puritāņu kolonistiem un indiāņiem. The objective of the study was to determine the factors associated with injury, and perceptions of discomfort and pain in cyclists. Background This study presents a novel methodology for estimating all-age, population-based incidence rates of norovirus and other pathogens that contribute to acute gastroenteritis in the United States using an integrated healthcare delivery system as a surveillance platform. Methods All cases of medically attended acute gastroenteritis within the delivery system were identified from April 1, 2014 through September 30, 2016. Background In Argentina, HIV prevalence among transgender women (TGW) has been reported at 34%. The stigma is one of the most important factors limiting their access to healthcare services. The aims of this study were to compare different HIV testing methodologies, to determine the factors associated with HIV diagnosis and to determine the feasibility of a home-based HIV testing service for TGW. Este estudio examina la colaboración científica a través de los patrones de coautoría en una muestra de revistas españolas de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte (CCAFD). También analiza los principales grupos de investigación y disciplinas del campo multidisciplinar de las CCAFD. Se analizaron la frecuencia y porcentaje de los artículos en colaboración y el número de autores por artículo. Se revisaron las redes de colaboración de los autores más productivos para identificar grupos de investigación y se calculó la densidad para conocer su cohesión. Biotic recovery after the end-Triassic extinction event: Evidence from marine bivalves of the Neuquén Basin, Argentina

We analyze the Late Triassic extinction and Early Jurassic recovery of bivalve faunas within marine environments in the Atuel River area of the Neuquén Basin, Argentina. Data were collected from a hundred samples with invertebrates in a well-exposed uppermost Triassic to lower Jurassic section in the Neuquén Basin (southern Mendoza Province, Argentina) and allow a high-resolution reconstruction of the local diversity dynamics. The nearly continuous presence of marine stenohaline major taxa such as cnidarians, rhynchonelliform brachiopods, echinoderms and cephalopods indicates normal salinity throughout.
