El pianista español José Iturbi multiplicó su popularidad internacional gracias a su participación en siete películas de la Metro Goldwyn Mayer entre 1943 y 1949. En estos filmes, mayoritariamente adscritos al género musical, Iturbi –que siempre se interpretaba a sí mismo- actuó con figuras de la envergadura de Judy Garland o Gene Kelly. En este artículo no se pretende comentar la calidad interpretativa o el repertorio del pianista valenciano. Finns and the Indigenous People in the Great Lakes Region: Playing with Settler Myths in Late 20th- and Early 21st-Century Finnish American Fiction

This chapter explores the Finnish settler migration mythology through a selection of Finnish–American literature produced in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. The idea is to shed light on the ways in which these texts create, spread, and perpetuate the settler myths. A close reading of literary texts can offer the opportunity to refocus, reframe, and reconceptualize Finnish experiences in North America. The chapter demonstrates that these texts can be approached as reinforcing the Finnish–Indigenous myth. Introduction: Essential oils are the perspective source of natural antioxidants because some synthetic antioxidants are now suspected to be potentially harmful to human health. As free radicals can cause inflammatory diseases, cancer, atherosclerosis, and aging, antioxidants can inhibit oxidative chain reactions. Mucocutaneous diseases with manifestations in the head and neck region: 24 years of experience in a Dermatology service

This study aimed to evaluate the clinicopathological features of mucocutaneous diseases with manifestation in the head and neck region. A retrospective analysis of a dermatology reference center database was carried out. Over 24 years. Clinicopathological data were collected from medical records and the data was analyzed by descriptive statistics. A total of 11.538 medical records were analyzed, being 152 cases of mucocutaneous diseases with manifestations in the head and neck region. Cutaneous lupus erythematosus was the most prevalent diagnosis (66.4%). Face (44.1%), females (79.6%), and patients with 45 years mean age were the most common features. Cet article se propose d'étudier les réponses offertes par la politique fiscale en Amérique latine dans la situation actuelle " d'atterrissage en douceur ". En fait, il apparaît que la région est exposée à un risque de choc externe de pays développés et la Chine à un risque politique. Dans ces conditions, la politique fiscale a un rôle important à jouer pour gérer ces risques en se centrant sur ses fonctions de stabilisation et de distribution. En outre, nous proposons un système de plusieurs mesures pour chaque fonction. Enfin, nous démontrons que les pays latino-américains ne souffrent pas de contrainte du financement pour appliquer nos recommandations.
