Integrability and Non Integrability of Some n Body Problems

International audience; We prove the non integrability of the colinear 3 and 4 body problem, for any positive masses. To deal with resistant cases, we present strong integrability criterions for 3 dimensional homogeneous potentials of degree −1, and prove that such cases cannot appear in the 4 body problem. Following the same strategy, we present a simple proof of non integrability for the planar n body problem. Eventually, we present some integrable cases of the n body problem restricted to some invariant vector spaces.
Spectral approach to D-bar problems

We present the first numerical approach to D-bar problems having spectral convergence for real analytic, rapidly decreasing potentials. The proposed method starts from a formulation of the problem in terms of an integral equation that is numerically solved with Fourier techniques. The singular integrand is regularized analytically. The resulting integral equation is approximated via a discrete system that is solved with Krylov methods. As an example, the D-bar problem for the Davey-Stewartson II equations is considered. The result is used to test direct numerical solutions of the PDE.© 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
Unfolding of saddle-nodes and their Dulac time

By unfolding a saddle-node, saddles and nodes appear. In the first result (Theorem A) we give a uniform asymptotic expansion of the trajectories arriving at the node. Uniformity is with respect to all parameters including the unfolding parameter bringing the node to a saddle-node and a parameter belonging to a space of functions. Convergence rate of a relaxed inertial proximal algorithm for convex minimization

International audience; In a Hilbert space setting, the authors recently introduced a general class of relaxed inertial proximal algorithms that aim to solve monotone inclusions. In this paper, we specialize this study in the case of non-smooth convex minimization problems. We obtain convergence rates for values which have similarities with the results based on the Nesterov accelerated gradient method. The joint adjustment of inertia, relaxation and proximal terms plays a central role. In doing so, we highlight inertial proximal algorithms that converge for general monotone inclusions, and which, in the case of convex minimization, give fast convergence rates of values in the worst case.

Abstract The self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) or combustion synthesis is a promising process to produce advanced ceramics due to the high purity of the elaborated materials and the very short synthesis time. Titanium nitride has been synthesised from pressed titanium powder and a nitrogen gas flow under a 0.1 MPa pressure. The influence of the addition of a TiN diluent was investigated. For the first time, SHS reaction mechanisms were determined from in situ time-resolved X-ray diffraction (TRXRD) experiments using the synchrotron radiation. An alternative space-time meshless method for solving transient heat transfer problems with high discontinuous moving sources

International audience; The aim of this work is the development of a space-time diffuse approximation meshless method (DAM) to solve heat equations containing discontinuous sources. This work is devoted to transient heat transfer problems with static and moving heat sources applied on a metallic plate and whose power presents temporal discontinuities. The space-time DAM using classical weight function is convenient for continuous transient heat transfer. Nevertheless, for problems including discontinuities, some spurious oscillations for the temperature field occur. A new weight function, respecting the principle of causality, is used to eradicate the physically unexpected oscillations.
On the Effect of Surface Treatment to Improve Oxidation Resistance and Conductivity of Metallic Interconnects for SOFC in Operating Conditions

International audience; Due to the reduction of operating temperature from 1000°C to 800°C, chromia forming alloys are the best candidates for interconnects in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs). These interconnects have to be operational in service conditions, at 800°C in air (cathode side) and in humidified hydrogen (anode side).
