A Power Law Behavior in the Incentivized Italian Photovoltaic Market

The Italian photovoltaic (PV) marketis analyzed by using the data contained in the database that describes all PV Plants installed in Italy under the incentive program called “2nd Conto Energia”. It is shown that the cumulative probability distribution of the size of the installed PV plants has a broken power tail. An approach to partially quantify the effect of the economic, juridical and technical rules is introduced in order to show how the regulatory body influences the power tail of the cumulative probability curve.

This chapter explores a collaborative practice of comparative data analysis through the researching activities of four researchers from Australia and Finland. We interrogate the ontological and empirical reality we experienced while engaged in a practice of analysing narrative data on mentoring. Kasvatus ja koulutus ovat ratkaisevia, jotta käytäntöjämme voisi muuttaa sosiaalisesti ja ekologisesti kestävämmiksi maapallon ekosysteemien ollessa kriisissä. Tässä artikkelissa hahmotellaan käytäntöteoreettista näkökulmaa kestävän elämänmuodon edistämiseksi kasvatuksen ja sivistyksen avulla. Ratkaisuksi ongelmaan on ehdotettu ekososiaalisen sivistyksen lisäämistä. This study is an action research that was planned and implemented with 23 Ethiopian Village School teachers. The action of the four year project concentrated on developing new, student-centred teaching methods instead of traditional lecturing and rote learning in one remote school. The overall aim of the study was to follow this process and the teachers’ professional development, and to explore how the practical arrangements, such as material or cultural surroundings, constrain or enable usage of student-centred methods at the school. This text explore different motivations and practices that can justify them preservation. Even if the randomness of the events directs towards responses that take into account unexpected economic difficulties, a persistent scepticism towards harmony and completeness emerges in many histories, as well as intriguing symbolic components.
