International audience; The phytostimulatory PGPR Azospirillum lipoferum CRT1 was inoculated to maize seeds and the impact on the genetic structure of the rhizobacterial community in the field was determined during maize growth by Automated Ribosomal Intergenic Spacer Analysis (ARISA) of rhizosphere DNA extracts. ARISA fingerprints could differ from one plant to the next as well as from one sampling to the next. Inoculation with strain CRT1 enhanced plant-to-plant variability of the ARISA fingerprints and caused a statistically significant shift in the composition of the indigenous rhizobacterial community at the first two samplings. Road design problems solved by affine arithmetic

In this paper we propose the use of techniques based on range numbers for solving problems of road designing. We applied the Affine Arithmetic to verify the driver's visibility in a horizontal curve, providing very interesting results and confirming its usefulness even in the most complex analytical expressions. The preparation of charts such as those proposed in this paper also makes this method directly accessible to those not so familiar with this technique.

First Report of Agaricus aridicola in Saudi Arabia and Ecological Notes on Agaricus bisporus

Agaricus aridicola is reported for the first time from Saudi Arabia while Agaricus bisporus is a new record for Northern region of Saudi Arabia. This study includes notes on taxonomy, ecology and distribution of both the species. It was also reported that the habitat of A. aridicola and A. bisporus are characterized by calcareous sandy soil, poor in organic matter, with presence of little amount of salinity.

Thermal disinfestation treatments are relatively easy to apply, leave no chemical residues and may have some fungicidal activity. However, temperature and time combinations required to kill insect pests may meet or exceed those that reduce the viability of seeds, nutrients content, shelf life or technological characteristics.
