Coauthorship Networks and Institutional Collaboration in Revista Española de Cardiología Publications

The aim of this study was to analyze the patterns of investigator and institutional collaboration in papers published in the Revista Española de Cardiología.Details of coauthorship and institutional collaboration involved in articles published in the Revista Española de Cardiología in the period 2000-2005 were recorded and a collaboration index was derived. Collaboration networks were identified using the TextToPajek and PAJEK software tools.Of the 980 papers analyzed, 95.1% had been authored by two or more individuals and 51.43% involved institutional collaboration. [Background and objectives]: The aim of this paper is to analyse the scientific research on multiple sclerosis using a bibliographic analysis of articles published during the period 2003-2012. [Methods]: The items under study were obtained from the Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCI-E) database, which was accessed through the Web of Science (WOS) platform. All records with the term multiple sclerosis in the title, plus all articles published in the journals Multiple Sclerosis and Multiple Sclerosis Journal, were analysed. OBJECTIVE: To develop optimal MEDLINE search strategies for retrieving sound clinical studies of the etiology, prognosis, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disorders in adult general medicine. DESIGN: Analytic survey of operating characteristics of search strategies developed by computerized combinations of terms selected to detect studies meeting basic methodologic criteria for direct clinical use in adult general medicine. a b s t r a c t Aim: To analyze the distribution of the production, repercussion and co-authorship of articles on smok- ing in the "respiratory system" category through the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) and their inclusion in the first quartile of the Journal Citation Report (JCR). Objective: To describe the role of Anales de Pediatría in highlighting Spanish paediatric research, and to identify the journals with which it competes internationally. Material and method: Spanish paediatric articles, including those from Anales de Pediatría were identified using the Paediatrics category of the Science Citation Index (2010–2014), and their volume and document type was analysed.
