Continuing a line of research opened up by Grigni and Sipser (1992) and further pursued by Stewart (1994), we show that a wide variety of equivalent characterizations of P still remain equivalent when restricted to be positive. All these restrictions thus define the same class posP, a proper subclass of monP, the class of monotone problems in P. We also exhibit complete problems for posP under very weak reductions.

Fractal dimension can be used to characterize the dynamic behaviour of the current signal by providing a degree of signal chaos. Abstract In this work, we report on the electro-optical characterization of Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) which use ruthenium complexes as sensitizers. In particular, several kinds of measurements have been performed to study the electrical performances and the efficiency levels of the cells at different operating conditions. In detail, the measurements have been conducted at varying temperatures and hours of light soaking. ABSTRACTDye-sensitized solar cells composed of an n-doped ZnO nanowire array and a p-doped polymer layer appears to be a promising candidate for low-cost production of environment-friendly solar cells. In this work, we investigate hybrid devices consisting of a transparent conducting oxide (TCO) substrate, ZnO-nanowires (ZnO-NW) or a sol-gel prepared ZnO layer, a ruthenium dye (N719) and a PEDOT:PSS or P3HT layer. In this paper we study how to preserve entanglement and nonlocality under dephasing produced by classical noise with large low-frequency components, as $1/f$ noise, by Dynamical Decoupling techniques. We first show that quantifiers of entanglement and nonlocality satisfy a closed relation valid for two independent qubits locally coupled to a generic environment under pure dephasing and starting from a general class of initial states. Equivalent circuit analysis of solid-rotor induction machines with reference to turbocharger accelerator applications

Theoretical, numerical and experimental studies are described that have been carried out to develop a solid-rotor induction machine design for a particularly demanding application as an accelerator drive for a diesel engine turbocharger. In this application the turbo-motor will be required to operate at speeds of up to 130 000 rpm and in temperatures that can exceed 200°C. This paper presents an innovative converter topology that better connects the needs of the battery pack and the electric motor towards the validation of an eco-sustainable electric mobility model. More in particular, the components of the proposed converter change their connection state during both the charging and discharging time of the battery, leading to a higher performance with respect to traditional step-down or step-up converters. The simulations carried out by means of the PLECS® environment have demonstrated the early feasibility of the proposed system.
