Research indicates that both cognitive appraisal and personal resources can noticeably influence health behaviors, as individuals modify their health convictions and practices on the basis of threat appraisal, personality, and meaning. The aim of the current study was to investigate whether coping strategies and meaning-making can serially mediate the relationship of threat appraisal and resilience with health behaviors in recovered COVID-19 patients. Self-report measures of threat appraisal, resilience, coping, meaning-making, and health behaviors were completed by 266 participants (aged 17 to 78, 51.5% female) who had recovered from COVID-19. 2019. gadā Vuhaņas pilsētā, Ķīnā, parādījās infekcija, kuru izraisīja CoV celms 2019-nCoV, ko tagad dēvē par smagu akūtu elpošanas ceļu slimību – COVID-19. COVID-19 infekcija ir kļuvusi par pandēmiju, kas joprojām strauji izplatās pasaulē un arī Latvijā. Tika aptaujāti 100 respondentu, kam bija diagnosticēts COVID-19, lai noskaidrotu galvenos slimības simptomus un iegūtu informāciju par veselības traucējumiem pēc COVID-19 infekcijas, kā arī lai noskaidrotu viedokli par vakcināciju. What role could have intrinsic motivation toward reading in an extraordinary situation like the recent confinement? This research examines the relationship between intrinsic reading motivation (IRM) and reading habits in an adult population considering types of reading (for leisure, work/study, social networks, and news), gender, and distress generated by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Participants were 3,849 adults from Spain who were surveyed about their reading practices: before, during the first weeks, and after several weeks of confinement. Šī pētījuma mērķis bija pārbaudīt individuālās atšķirības, kas saistītas ar COVID-19 konspirācijas teoriju uzskatu attīstību pandēmijas laikā. Kopumā 100 pieaugušie aizpildīja aptauju, kas aptvēra ar COVID-19 saistītus sazvērestības teorijas uzskatus, uztverto stresu un ticību valdībai , kā arī respondentu izglītības līmeni.
