In this paper, we prove that there exists at most one positive radial weak solution to the following quasilinear elliptic equation with singular critical growth \[ \begin{cases} -\Delta_{p}u-{\displaystyle \frac{\mu}{|x|^{p}}|u|^{p-2}u}{\displaystyle =\frac{|u|^{\frac{(N-s)p}{N-p}-2}u}{|x|^{s}}}+\lambda|u|^{p-2}u & \text{in }B,\\ u=0 & \text{on }\partial B, \end{cases} \] where $B$ is an open finite ball in $\mathbb{R}^{N}$ centered at the origin, $1<p<N$, $-\infty<\mu<((N-p)/p)^{p}$, $0\le s<p$ and $\lambda\in\mathbb{R}$. A related limiting problem is also considered.
Stability and nature of the volume collapse of ε-FeO under extreme conditions

Iron oxides are among the major constituents of the deep Earth's interior. Among them, the epsilon phase of FeO is one of the less studied polymorphs and there is a lack of information about its structural, electronic and magnetic transformations at extreme conditions. Here we report the precise determination of its equation of state and a deep analysis of the evolution of the polyhedral units under compression, thanks to the agreement between our experiments and ab-initio simulations. Our results indicate that this material, with remarkable magnetic properties, is stable at pressures up to 27 GPa. Continuous and more or less veiled references, descriptions, inventions, images characterize the poetry of Georges Perec. But above all one image is significant not only to his poetics but to himself: that of Le Condottière, translated in english as Portrait of a Man. On 2012, thirty years after Perec’s death, the last piece of his literary image was discovered. Actually, it is the first image of this complex puzzle, the first time Gaspard Winckler, Perec’s recurrent alter-ego, appeared on the scene.
