Orbit determination and errors of a star catalogue

Abstract We obtain Ceres orbit taking into account all perturbations and applying correction of phase effect to observations. More than 3000 observations have been used and the results agree with other determinations. We have also investigated the influence of systematic errors of a star catalogue on the observations and its effect on final elements. To that aim, a simulation procedure has been applied to Ceres observations, including different laws for errors of star catalogue versus spherical coordinates. The best relations have been applied to real observations of Ceres, in order to obtain elements and star catalogue corrections. Preliminary results of these calculations are presented.

This paper deals with a study of existing systems, with the intention of determining the main recent improvement in the domain. The heterogeneous data integration process is a major central point. Ce deuxième volet présente les manuscrits conservés dans les bibliothèques privées de l’historien Muḥammad Zabāra et du lettré ‘Abd al-Raḥmān Qādī, à Sanaa, ainsi que ceux de la Bibliothèque Apostolique Vaticane. A New Web-Based Catalog of Earth Degassing Sites in Italy

Italy is a region characterized by intense and widespread processes of Earth degassing. High-temperature gases are released by crater plumes and fumaroles in volcanic environments throughout Italy. Also prevalent are numerous low-temperature gas emissions rich in carbon dioxide (CO2). These low-temperature emissions are located in a large area, mainly in the western sector of central and southern Italy (Figure 1).

This article presents a unique advertising brochure dating from 1900 which was published by the organ building company Voelkner from Duninów and which has been discovered in the State Archives in Wrocław in the files of the Silesian Evangelical Consistory. The catalogue contains 47 pages and is a valuable source for the history of the Voelkner company. By studying this publication, the reader will get acquainted with the trends prevailing in the field of organ building at the turn of the 19th to the 20th centuries. However, the advertising folder does not contain any listing of the works realized by the company, which is probably its greatest shortcoming.

Il catalogo raccoglie le schede delle opere d’arte decorativa esposte da Maria Accascina alla Mostra d’Arte Sacra delle Madonie allestita nel 1937 presso il Convento dei PP. Riformati di Petralia Sottana, centro delle alte Madonie. Si tratta di gioielli, suppellettili liturgiche, oggetti preziosi di uso profano, coralli, paramenti sacri, tessuti, statue lignee, intagli, maioliche e tappeti realizzati dal XI al XIX secolo. Performance analysis of Latvian zenith camera

Since finalizing of design in 2016, the digital zenith camera of the University of Latvia was involved in a number of test observations as well as field observations at about 70 different sites. The paper presents analysis of observation results, estimation of instrument’s performance and accuracy. Random and systematic error sources are outlined. Impact of anomalous refraction on vertical deflection determination is discussed. Results of adaptation of GAIA reference star catalog for astrometric data reduction are reported.
