Tiek uzskatīts, ka tās vēsture ir 5000 gadu gara un tai ir bijis milzīgs kultūras un intelektuālais spēks Tālajos Austrumos. Bakalaura darbā tiek ietverts īss ieskats ķīniešu tradīcijās, jo tautas rituāli galvenokārt ir saistīti ar ģimenes notikumiem – dzimšanu, kāzām un bērēm.
