New 2-Methoxy Acetylenic Acids and Pyrazole Alkaloids from the Marine Sponge Cinachyrella sp.

Three new 2-methoxy acetylenic acids (1–3) and a known derivative (4), in addition to three new natural pyrazole alkaloids (5–7) were isolated from an Indonesian marine sponge of the genus Cinachyrella. Compounds 5 and 6 have previously been reported as synthetic compounds. The structures of the new compounds were established on the basis of one- and two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy as well as by mass spectrometric data. The absolute configuration of the new acetylenic acid derivatives (1–3) was established by ECD spectroscopy. Grazia Deledda's literary work has been introduced by the early 20th century Chinese translators mostly through indirect translations. Such process compromised sometimes the integrity of the original linguistic choices, but the selection of contributions from the Chinese periodical press included in this study shows a genuine enthusiasm toward her narrative style and the life of Deledda's Sardinian characters, portrayed as symbolic representation of the universal human psychology.

Poesie di Chen Jingrong - Un piccolo omaggio

Chen Jingrong is a woman poet who has strongly influenced the poetry of the contemporary poet Duo Duo. Having lived from 1917 until 1989, her work spans through the whole XX century. The paper presents her work with a special attention on translation problems. It focuses on an analysis of her poetry on the basis of the “translation shift” described by Cosima Bruno. Differently from Bruno, the analysis is made not on two texts, A language and B language texts, but rather on three texts. In this case, the one in Chinese of the original version, the one in English, the language of the first translation, and the one in Italian, the language of the second translation by G. Tamburello.
