Obecnie szybki rozwój terenów zurbanizowanych utrudnia aranżowanie przyjaznych przestrzeni publicznych. Sposobem na ich stworzenie mogą stać się narzędzia i rozwiązania wypracowane w ramach logistyki miasta, która jako jeden z celów przyjmuje zaspokajanie potrzeb mieszkańców, podkreślając znaczenie miasta jako organizacji społecznej. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest identyfikacja roli logistyki w kreowaniu przestrzeni publicznej na obszarze zurbanizowanym.

The article presents the work "Dubai Pop-Up. Architecture in a transient city", the result of an international design workshop (coordinated by T. Aglieri Rinella and R. Garcia Rubio) which brought the Dubai question to the center, bringing together a large number of teachers and students to think how to introduce new ways of thinking about the city. Thanks to the diversified and sometimes surprising hypotheses that the projects developed suggest, it is clear how open the degree of alternatives to that development model only oriented on the “monoculture of profit” that has guided urban choices in this city up to now can still be.

Abstract Since the 1980s, cultural policies have been increasingly oriented to promoting cities. However, under the paradigm of the creative city, this approach had presented several dilemmas and contradictions. The aim of this research was to determine whether there are statistically relevant differences in Michael J. Furlong's concept of socio-emotional health with meta construct Covitality (SEV factor) between teenage and youth selections, gender, and nationalities in different schools. The participants of the research were 593 respondents from Latvia, aged 11-19 years. Out of the total selection of participants (N=593) there were 318 teens (M=13.01, SD=.84), of them 151 boys and 167 girls; the other group of 274 young people (M=15.85, SD = 1.02), consisted of 132 males and 142 females. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja działań podejmowanych w miastach o charakterze społecznym, ekonomicznym i środowiskowym oraz ocena ich zgodności z założeniami koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju. W artykule przytoczone zostały przykłady rozwoju różnych miast europejskich i pozaeuropejskich oraz efekty prowadzonej polityki miejskiej. Autorka starała się odpowiedzieć na pytanie, w jakim stopniu działania podejmowane w miastach są zgodne z zasadami zrównoważonego rozwoju i czy w przyszłości miasta staną się bardziej zrównoważone. The encounter between Appraisal and Valuation and other social sciences, such as Geography and Urban Planning, but also Philosophy and Psychology, can be considered as a valuable opportunity to combine approaches expressing different points of view on the same phenomena. The interpretative paradigms and opera-tional tools of Appraisal and Valuation are therefore questioned and should be re-vised to be adopted in the appraisal practice or to support decision-making pro-cesses related to real estate market and urban, territorial and environmental plan-ning, according to a perspective of social inclusion and multiculturalism.
