Adjustment disorder as proposed for ICD-11: Dimensionality and symptom differentiation

Although Adjustment Disorder as a diagnostic category is widely used in clinical practice it is critically discussed that it has not been conceptualized as a category with unique symptoms. Hence, the conceptualization of Adjustment Disorder is subject to substantive change in ICD-11 including core symptoms and additional features in a uni-faceted concept. The Origin of T Tauri X-ray Emission: New Insights from the Chandra Orion Ultradeep Project

We use the data of the Chandra Orion Ultradeep Project (COUP) to study the nearly 600 X-ray sources that can be reliably identified with optically well characterized T Tauri stars (TTS) in the Orion Nebula Cluster. We detect X-ray emission from more than 97% of the optically visible late-type (spectral types F to M) cluster stars. This proofs that there is no ``X-ray quiet'' population of late-type stars with suppressed magnetic activity. All TTS with known rotation periods lie in the saturated or super-saturated regime of the relation between activity and Rossby numbers seen for main-sequence (MS) stars, but the TTS show a much larger scatter in X-ray activity than seen for the MS stars. Emotion recognition changes in a confinement situation due to COVID-19

Abstract The confinement situation experienced as a result of COVID-19 will have consequences at a psychological level. These consequences can affect emotion recognition because, due to isolation, interactions and social contacts have been drastically reduced. The aim of this study was to find out if there were differences in facial emotion recognition in two groups of young adults, one confined during COVID-19 and the other unconfined. Classification based on Iterative Object Symmetry Transform

The paper shows an application of a new operator named the iterated object transform (IOT) for cell classification. The IOT has the ability to grasp the internal structure of a digital object and this feature can be usefully applied to discriminate structured images. This is the case of cells representing chondrocytes in bone tissue, giarda protozoan, and myeloid leukaemia. A tree classifier allows us to discriminate the three classes with a good accuracy.

Numerical and experimental study of liquid metal stirring by rotating permanent magnets

In this work, we study liquid gallium stirring by rotating permanent magnets. We demonstrate possibility of easily creating different flow patterns by rotating permanent magnets, which can be industrially important for controlling heat and mass transfer processes in the system. Unlike the typical approach of simulating magnet rotation as a transient problem and time-averaging the Lorentz forces, we solve the magnet rotation as a harmonic (frequency domain) problem, which leads to forces equal to time-averaged ones and decreases the simulation time considerably. Time series clustering with different distance measures to tell Web bots and humans apart

The paper deals with the problem of differentiating Web sessions of bots and human users by observing some characteristics of their traffic at the Web server input. We propose an approach to cluster bots’ and humans’ sessions represented as time series. First, sessions are expressed as sequences of HTTP requests coming to the server at specific timestamps; then, they are pre-preprocessed to form time series of limited length.
