La incorporación del periodismo digital en los planes de estudio de las Ciencias de la Comunicación es lenta. En este artículo se analiza el proceso de introducción de este contenido en Colombia. Se lleva a cabo un estudio de caso sobre el ciberdiario De la Urbe Digital, experiencia llevada a cabo en la Universidad de Antioquia, en Medellín (Colombia), que permitió a los estudiantes universitarios de Pregrado llevar a la práctica los contenidos teóricos que estaban recibiendo. Pese a la tradición de periodismo en papel que prevalece en algunos entornos universitarios, el caso que analizamos refleja propuestas metodológicas innovadoras.
