On coincidence and common fixed point theorems of eight self-maps satisfying an FM-contraction condition

In this paper, a new type of contraction for several self-mappings of a metric space, called FM-contraction, is introduced. This extends the one presented for a single map by Wardowski [Fixed points of a new type of contractive mappings in complete metric spaces, Fixed Point Theory Appl., 2012:94, 2012]. Coincidence and common fixed point of eight self mappings satisfying FM-contraction conditions are established via common limit range property without exploiting the completeness of the space or the continuity of the involved maps. Common fixed point results on quasi-Banach spaces and integral equations

In this paper we obtain fixed and common fixed point theorems for self-mappings defined on a closed and convex subset C of a quasi-Banach space. We give also a constructive method for finding the common fixed points of the involved mappings. As an application we obtain a result of the existence of solutions of integral equations.

The aim of this note is to point out a fallacy in the proof of Theorem 3.1 contained in the recent paper ( Int. J. Contemp. Math. Sci. 5 (2010), 2699-2707) proved in intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces employing the newly introduced notion of sub-compatible pair of mappings wherein our claim is also substantiated with the aid of an appropriate example. We also rectify the erratic theorem in two ways.

The essay explores the construction aspects of cornices that, from elements of protection, they can also become elements of degradation and instability due to their shape. We would analyze formal and material values of a cornice: it presents complex characters and summarizes problems deriving from construction requirements of building envelope, due to the double value of ornamentation (crowning of building) and functional component (removal system of meteoric water from façade). Pico: A data acquisition program for picosecond laser spectroscopy

Abstract A data acquisition and control program for picosecond pump and probe experiments has been developed. The program PICO is written in C-programming language for maximum efficiency. The software which runs on an IBM PC compatible microcomputer controls a stepper motor driven optical delay, and at the same time collects data from a digital lock-in amplifier. PICO can be used to control any experiment utilizing two-beam pump probe technique. The modular structure of the software allows for easy implementation with different hardware configurations. We prove a result on points of coincidence and common fixed points for three self mappings satisfying a weak generalized contractive type condition in cone metric spaces. We deduce some results on common fixed points for two self mappings satisfying a weak contractive type condition in cone metric spaces. This results generalize some well-known recent results.
