Nouvelle approche pour l'estimation du rythme respiratoire basée sur la photopléthysmographie sans contact
2021
Respiratory rhythm is important information in medical context. Its assessment allows to predict some medical complications that could lead to death. However, it is often neglected by the medical staff due to a bad comprehension of its importance, or a lack of time.Automated measurement methods allow to improve this by continuously giving respiratory rate. Most of these methods needs a contact with the patient to efficiently measure the breathing rate.Unfortunately it leads to some issues which could forbid measurement or make it unconfortable for continuous monitoring. The continuous, every-day monitoring especially needs to be as discrete as possible to be forgotten by the patient. To deal wit…
Electrocardiogram Signal Analysing
2016
In this paper, we develop a new approach based on nonlinear filtering scheme (NLFS) on cardiac signal to evaluate a robust single-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) delineation system and waves localization method based on nonlinear filtering approach. This system is built in two phases, in the first phase, we proposed a mathematical model for detecting ECG features like QRS complex peak, P and T-waves onsets and ends fromnoise free of synthetic ECG signal. Later, we develop a theoretical model to obtain real approach for detecting these features from real noisy ECG signals. Our method has been evaluated on electrocardiogram signals of QT-MIT standard database, the QRS peak achieve sensitivity (S…
Progressive transmission of secured images with authentication using decompositions into monovariate functions
2014
International audience; We propose a progressive transmission approach of an image authenticated using an overlapping subimage that can be removed to restore the original image. Our approach is different from most visible water- marking approaches that allow one to later remove the watermark, because the mark is not directly introduced in the two-dimensional image space. Instead, it is rather applied to an equivalent monovariate representation of the image. Precisely, the approach is based on our progressive transmission approach that relies on a modified Kolmogorov spline network, and therefore inherits its advantages: resilience to packet losses during transmis- sion and support of hetero…
Pattern dynamics in a nonlinear electrical lattice
2003
International audience; In this paper, we present experiments using a nonlinear electrical line, modeling the FitzHugh-Nagumo equation, without recovery term. Different patterns are studied according to the para meters of this medium and initial conditions. We then propose to apply these results to the domain of signal processing. We show that erosion and dilation of a binary signal, two kinds,of binarization-one depending on an amplitude threshold, the other on an energetical threshold-and nonlinear filtering allowing noise removal can be obtained in the same medium.
Complexity analysis of experimental cardiac arrhythmia
2014
International audience; To study the cardiac arrhythmia, an in vitro experimental model and Multielectrodes Array (MEA) are used. This platform serves as an intermediary of the electrical activities of cardiac cells and the signal processing / dynamics analysis. Through it the extracellular potential of cardiac cells is acquired, allowing a real-time monitoring / analyzing. Since MEA has 60 electrodes / channels dispatched in a rectangular region, it allows real-time monitoring and signal acquisition on multiple sites. The in vitro experimental model (cardiomyocytes cultures from new-born rats' heart) is directly prepared on the MEA. This carefully prepared culture has similar parameters as…
The Large Area Detector onboard the eXTP mission
2018
The eXTP (enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry) mission is a major project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and China National Space Administration (CNSA) currently performing an extended phase A study and proposed for a launch by 2025 in a low-earth orbit. The eXTP scientific payload envisages a suite of instruments (Spectroscopy Focusing Array, Polarimetry Focusing Array, Large Area Detector and Wide Field Monitor) offering unprecedented simultaneous wide-band X-ray spectral, timing and polarimetry sensitivity. A large European consortium is contributing to the eXTP study and it is expected to provide key hardware elements, including a Large Area Detector (LAD). The LAD instrumen…
Energy balance in single exposure multispectral sensors
2013
International audience; Recent simulations of multispectral sensors are based on a simple Gaussian model, which includes filters transmittance and substrate absorption. In this paper we want to make the distinction between these two layers. We discuss the balance of energy by channel in multispectral solid state sensors and propose an updated simple Gaussian model to simulate multispectral sensors. Results are based on simulation of typical sensor configurations.
A Coupled Schema of Probabilistic Atlas and Statistical Shape and Appearance Model for 3D Prostate Segmentation in MR Images
2012
International audience; A hybrid framework of probabilistic atlas and statistical shape and appearance model (SSAM) is proposed to achieve 3D prostate segmentation. An initial 3D segmentation of the prostate is obtained by registering the probabilistic atlas to the test dataset with deformable Demons registration. The initial results obtained are used to initialize multiple SSAMs corresponding to the apex, central and base regions of the prostate gland to incorporate local variabilities. Multiple mean parametric models of shape and appearance are derived from principal component analysis of prior shape and intensity information of the prostate from the training data. The parameters are then…
Optimisation des requêtes de similarité dans les espaces métriques répondant aux besoins des usagers
2012
The complexity of data stored in large databases has increased at very fast paces. Hence, operations more elaborated than traditional queries are essential in order to extract all required information from the database. Therefore, the interest of the database community in similarity search has increased significantly. Two of the well-known types of similarity search are the Range (Rq) and the k-Nearest Neighbor (kNNq) queries, which, as any of the traditional ones, can be sped up by indexing structures of the Database Management System (DBMS). Another way of speeding up queries is to perform query optimization. In this process, metrics about data are collected and employed to adjust the par…
Obtaining the Compatibility between Musicians Using Soft Computing
2010
Modeling the musical notes as fuzzy sets provides a flexible framework which better explains musicians’ daily practices. Taking into account one of the characteristics of the sound: the pitch (the frequency of a sound as perceived by human ear), a similarity relation between two notes can be defined. We call this relation compatibility. In the present work, we propose a method to asses the compatibility between musicians based on the compatibility of their interpretations of a given composition. In order to aggregate the compatibilities between the notes offered and then obtain the compatibility between musicians, we make use of an OWA operator. We illustrate our approach with a numerical e…
