In this work, new gelled electrolytes were prepared based on a mixture containing phosphonium ionic liquid (IL) composed of trihexyl(tetradecyl)phosphonium cation combined with bis(trifluoromethane)sulfonimide [TFSI] counter anions and lithium salt, confined in a host network made from an epoxy prepolymer and amine hardener. The use of open-graded mixes increases significantly the hydraulic permeability of pavement and contributes to reduce the noise impact in comparison to traditional pavement. Such characteristics are very appealing and would greatly increase driver's safety. However, during service life, the pores tend to be clogged by many factors among them secondary traffic compaction and filling of voids by fine materials are relevant, especially on heavy routes. Numerical 3D study of FZ growth: dependence on growth parameters and melt instability

Three-dimensional modelling of the floating zone (needle-eye) crystal growth process is carried out to analyse numerically the stability of the melt flow and the influence of the crystal rotation rate and inductor slit width on the 3D flow field and on the grown crystal resistivity. The unsteadiness of the melt is simulated and it is found that for the considered growth parameters a steady-state flow can be a reasonable approximation to the unsteady melt motion. The parametric studies have shown that increasing the rotation rate essentially changes the flow pattern and weakens the rotational striations, while the inductor slit width has a more local influence on these characteristics.
The impact of the age of vines on soil hydraulic conductivity in vineyards in eastern Spain

Soil infiltration processes manage runoff generation, which in turn affects soil erosion. There is limited information on infiltration rates. In this study, the impact of vine age on soil bulk density (BD) and hydraulic conductivity (Ks) was assessed on a loam soil tilled by chisel plough. Soil sampling was conducted in the inter row area of six vineyards, which differed by the age from planting: 0 (Age 0; just planted), 1, 3, 6, 13, and 25 years (Age 1, Age 3, Age 6, Age 13, and Age 25, respectively). The main goal of this work is to determine theoretically the capability of REG techniques to reflect intracranial blood flow. Abstract Different types of breakdown are reported to occur during the galvanostatic growth of WO3 films in different aqueous electrolytes. Stresses inside the growing film cause the occurrence of cracks at a critical thickness which varies with the anodizing solution. The electrical breakdown is caused by avalanche ionization of the electronic current inside the film. The influence of the different experimental parameters on both the mechanical and the electrical breakdown voltages is discussed. Single particle jumps and correlated ionic motions in glass-ceramics

Using impedance spectroscopy, the ion transport in poorly Li-conducting aluminosilicate glass ceramics and their precursor glasses has been measured for temperatures 50 K < T < 550 K and covering a frequency range of more than 14 decades from 10 mHz up to 3 THz. In addition to the familiar cooperative ionic motion dominating at high temperatures, for the first time dielectric relaxation due to elementary hopping processes is observed well below room temperature.
