Pētījumā kopumā piedalījās 62 respondenti, vecumā no 19 – 45 gadiem (M = 24,29; SD = 5,22). Pašcieņa, tika mērīta izmantojot Rozenberga pašcieņas skalu (Rosenberg self-esteem scale, Rosenberg, 1965), Latvijā adaptējusi Anika Miltuze, 1996. gadā. Savukārt stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģijas, tika mērītas ar Stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju aptauju (The Coping Orientation of Problem Experience / COPE / Inventory, Carver, Scheier, &Weintraub, 1989), kursa darba ietvaros Latvijā adaptējusi Inna Petrova, 2009. gadā. Mafia e costi psichici.

Background and aim: Coping in daily activities when discharged from hospital to own home can be challenging for older people. Internationally, there is a number of studies on this topic, but similar studies in Norway and Nordic countries seem to be scarce. The aim of this study was to illuminate occupational therapists’ experiences of how to promote coping of daily activities in older patients who are discharged from hospital to home. Methods: A qualitative design with individual interviews was used. A purposive sample of eight occupational therapists were included, four worked in hospitals and four in community health services, respectively. Initially the interviews had an open form, but a…
Well-being of physicians who work in oncology unit and in BMT unit: analysis of protective factors from work stress
2012
Background. Recently a great deal of attention has been given on doctors' work related stress and possibility of improving their quality of life. Several studies report that oncologists are overloaded psychologically. Contact with serious diseases, excessive working pressure, structural weaknesses, are some of the factors that predispose oncologists to stress. In 2008, at the ASPHO annual meeting, pediatric hematologists/oncologists noted burnout (considered as a result of protracted stress at work) was a significant challenge in their lives. To date, no studies have extensively ruled out on protective factors from work stress among pediatric oncologists. Aims. Our research investigates the…
