2022

This paper explores how Chinese-speaking students approach and represent Italian literary texts. The author refers to Chinese-speaking students of Italian, about whom he has on-the-job experience. The introduction emphasizes how Chinese culture and philosophy, pivoting around the ideal of harmony, befit the textual teaching in Italian language, within the Romance cultural and linguistic context, where the fracture, the Dyonisian, the textual pathos, are important concepts. The subject is approached with a two-fold perspective. The first is more general and expresses the need for an integrated and dynamic encounter between Chinese and Italian culture. The second is more specific and consider…

Tinker, Tailor…: Creativity in Foreign Language Learning and Teaching

2018

The word creativity has recently won great popularity in numerous contexts, showing both positive (“creative writing”) and negative (“creative accounting”) connotations. The concept itself has many meanings as it may refer to the end product of one’s activity, the cognitive processes involved in the creative act, the personality of a creative person, the development of creativity across the life span, and also the factors that either stimulate or inhibit the process of creation (Łukasik, 2015; Simonton, 2000). There is also a distinction between exceptional creativity, manifesting itself in important works that are significant for a given society, and everyday creativity, which can be obser…

2014

The term metropolis has a double meaning: it indicates the motherland in the colonialist historical movement and, at the same time, the urban conglomerate that characterizes our postmodernity. The theoretical link between the two meanings can generate a postcolonial critique and an intercultural analysis of our multicultural metropolis, exposed to differences and multiple identifications. At the same time, the metropolitan condition shows us how the contact between the differences is now intra-cultural and no longer inter-cultural, proposing a political rewrite of Intercultural Pedagogy as a plural and materialistic Differences Pedagogy, able to recognize the characteristics of struggle for…

Ruch w twórczości rysunkowej dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym i wczesnoszkolnym

2020

Privileged places in the city: urban quality, livability, sustainability

2022

Public spaces are privileged places in the city. Unfortunately, conurbation phenomena have taken over, leaving local places and identities to disintegrate, marking a clear break between community and settlement, obstructing the common good and the use of public spaces. To improve well-being and quality of life, public spaces must be attractive and safe, which is why they must be designed according to principles that meet the needs and expectations of all citizens, with particular attention to the weakest, as indicated in the Public Space Charter in 2013, in line with the European Landscape Convention and the United Nations Program for Human Settlements (UN-Habitat). Seniors and children mus…
