Strukturen von [Me4Sb]2[MeSbI4]MeSbI2, und [Me4Sb]I. Darstellung von Me3Sb · MeSbI2 und farbwechsel bei Me4Sb2 · Me2SbBr
1992
Abstract The crystal structures of the complex [Me 4 Sb] 2 [MeSbI 4 ] ( 1 ) and its precursors MeSbI 2 ( 2 ) and [Me 4 Sb]I ( 3 ) are reported. In 1 there are tetrahedral cations and square pyramidal anions with Sb-I distances of 290–320 pm. The structure of 2 contains MeSbI 2 molecules. They associate via iodine bridges to form linear chains with alternating short and long Sb-I distances. The coordination around antimony is distorted tetragonal pyramidal. The tetrahedral coordination of the ions in 3 results in the formation of a wurtzite type structure with antimony-iodine distances of 406 and 435 pm. The novel adducts Me 3 Sb·Me 2 SbI 2 ( 4 ) and Me 2 SbSbMe 2 ·Me 2 SbBr ( 5 ) are formed…
[Fe(TPT)(2/3){M(I)(CN)2}2]⋅nSolv (M(I) = Ag, Au): new bimetallic porous coordination polymers with spin-crossover properties.
2013
Two new heterobimetallic porous coordination polymers with the formula [Fe(TPT)2/3{MI(CN)2}2]¿nSolv (TPT=[(2,4,6-tris(4-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine]; MI=Ag (nSolv=0, 1¿MeOH, 2¿CH2Cl2), Au (nSolv=0, 2¿CH2Cl2)) have been synthesized and their crystal structures were determined at 120¿K and 293¿K by single-crystal X-ray analysis. These structures crystallized in the trigonal R-3m space group. The FeII ion resides at an inversion centre that defines a [FeN6] coordination core. Four dicyanometallate groups coordinate at the equatorial positions, whilst the axial positions are occupied by the TPT ligand. Each TPT ligand is centred in a ternary axis and bridges three crystallographically equivalent Fe…
Synthesis, crystal and molecular-electronic structure, and kinetic investigation of two new sterically hindered isomeric forms of the dimethyl[methyl…
2017
Two new structural isomers – 2,4-dimethyl-5-[methyl(phenylsulfonyl)amino]benzenesulfonyl chloride (1) and 2,4-dimethyl-3-[methyl(phenylsulfonyl)amino]benzenesulfonyl chloride (2) were synthesized by interaction of N-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)-N-methyl-benzenesulfonamide or N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-N-methylbenzenesulfonamide with chlorosulfonic acid. Both compounds have been structurally characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction at 100 K. The crystals of 1 are triclinic: space group View the MathML source, a = 8.1542(2), b = 11.0728(3), c = 11.2680(3) Å, α = 116.557(3), β = 95.155(2), γ = 108.258(2)°, V = 831.97(4) Å3, Z = 2, R = 0.0251 for 2429 reflections; the crystals of 2 are monoclinic:…
Halogen...halogen interactions in pressure-frozen ortho- and meta-dichlorobenzene isomers.
2007
Isomers 1,2-dichlorobenzene (o-DCB) and 1,3-dichlorobenzene (m-DCB) were high-pressure frozen in-situ in a Merrill–Bassett diamond–anvil cell and their structures determined at room temperature and at 0.18 (5) GPa for o-DCB, and 0.17 (5) GPa for m-DCB by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The patterns of halogen...halogen intermolecular interactions in these structures can be considered to be the main cohesive forces responsible for the molecular arrangements in these crystals. The molecular packing of dichlorobenzene isomers, including three polymorphs of 1,4-dichlorobenzene (p-DCB), have been compared and relations between their molecular symmetry, packing arrangements, intermolecular inte…
Ionic liquid crystals based on 1,2,4-triazolium rings
2017
Ionic liquids crystals (ILCs) are a class of organic materials of great current interest. They show unique properties that can be exploited in many different fields, for example their use as solvents for extraction processes as well as electrolytes for batteries, fuel cells, dye-sensitised solar cells etc. [1-4] Moreover, in perfluorinated ILCs, the segregation of the perfluorocarbon chains promotes further self-organisation of the LC phases, adding to the materials further properties such as affinity for gases suitable for example in gas-storage. [5-7] A series of salts based on 5-(4-alkyloxyphenyl)-1,4-dimethyl-3-(perfluoroalkyl)-1,2,4-triazol-4-ium structures, differing in the length of …
Valence-band electronic structure of CdO, ZnO, and MgO from x-ray photoemission spectroscopy and quasi-particle-corrected density-functional theory c…
2009
The valence-band density of states of single-crystalline rock-salt CdO(001), wurtzite $c$-plane ZnO, and rock- salt MgO(001) are investigated by high-resolution x-ray photoemission spectroscopy. A classic two-peak structure is observed in the VB-DOS due to the anion $2p$-dominated valence bands. Good agreement is found between the experimental results and quasi-particle-corrected density-functional theory calculations. Occupied shallow semicore $d$ levels are observed in CdO and ZnO. While these exhibit similar spectral features to the calculations, they occur at slightly higher binding energies, determined as 8.8 eV and 7.3 eV below the valence band maximum in CdO and ZnO, respectively. Th…
Structural characterization of 2,2-di-n-butyl-4-methyl-1,3,2-dioxastannolane isolated from supercritical CO2 conditions
2009
The title compound has been isolated as single crystals from the synthesis of propylene carbonate from racemic 1,2-propanediol and carbon dioxide using n-Bu2SnO as a catalyst precursor. The X-ray crystallographic structure analysis revealed the self-assembly of di-n-butyltin(IV) 1,2-propanediolate units, linked together through long-distance Sn-O interactions leading to a one-dimensional polymeric architecture organized in a syndiotactic arrangement. The coordination geometry around the tin atoms can be described as an unusual faced-capped trigonal bipyramidal environment.
Hybrid multiple diffraction in semipolar wurtzite materials: (\bf 01\overline{1}2)-oriented ZnMgO/ZnO heterostructures as an illustration
2017
X-ray diffraction has been widely used to characterize the structural properties (strain and structural quality) of semiconductor heterostructures. This work employs hybrid multiple diffraction to analyzer-oriented Zn1−xMgxO layers grown by molecular beam epitaxy on ZnO substrates. In such a low-symmetry material system, additional features appear in symmetric reflection scans, which are described as arising from hybrid multiple diffraction. First, the Bragg conditions necessary for these high-order processes to occur are introduced and applied to explain all the observed satellite reflections, identify the planes that contribute and computea priorithe angles at which they are observed. Fur…
Growth of zinc-blende GaN on muscovite mica by molecular beam epitaxy
2021
Abstract The mechanisms of plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxial growth of GaN on muscovite mica were investigated. Using a battery of techniques, including scanning and transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, cathodoluminescence, Raman spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction, it was possible to establish that, in spite of the lattice symmetry mismatch, GaN grows in epitaxial relationship with mica, with the [11–20] GaN direction parallel to [010] direction of mica. GaN layers could be easily detached from the substrate via the delamination of the upper layers of the mica itself, discarding the hypothesis of a van der Waals growth mode. Mixture of wurtzite (hexagonal) and z…
The conformation cis of N-acetyl-N-methyl-α,β-dehydroalanine N′-methylamide and saturated analogues
2007
A series of three homologous amino acids derivatives: N-acetyl-N-methyl-α,β–dehydroalanine N′-methylamide (1), N-acetyl-N-methyl-L-alanine N′-methylamide (2), and N-acetyl-N-methyl-DL-alanine N′-methylamide have been synthesised. The racemic species undergoes spontaneous separation into L and D-enantiomers. From these two chiral forms, the structure of L-enantiomer (3) was analysed. The molecules of 1 – 3 adopt the cis arrangement of the N-terminal amide bond. The molecular conformations are similar for 1 (φ, ψ = 94.6(1)°, −1.7(1)°) and 3 (φ, ψ = 111.5(1)°, −23.8(1)°), and also 2 (φ, ψ = −114.8(2)°, 29.5(2)°), if inversion through the chiral C2 carbon is considered. They are stabilised by i…
