The aim of this article is to show public diplomacy using the example of the European Union, which by its very nature is perceived as an actor with a natural potential to conduct public diplomacy. In a more detailed perspective, the analysis concerns EU public diplomacy towards the states of the Eastern Partnership, which is both an addressee of its objectives and a catalyst for its difficulties and constraints. An overview of a novel LC resonant device able to improve Power Quality in active and passive distribution networks

Nowadays power distribution systems are under a rapid evolution. The widespread penetration of distributed generation is bringing about new operating conflicts, which are adding to traditional power quality issues. The paper aims to analyse the performance of a new LC device able to improve power quality in electrical distribution systems, even in presence of distributed generation units. The different possible applications of the device are shown and the performances are proved by means of computer simulation. The first experimental results are also presented.

The new curricula and their influence on the age of finalizing higher education. A case study of the University of Valencia

The present work analyzes the influence that the new curricula have on the age of finalization of the studies of students enrolled in the University of Valencia. It analyses to what extent the new curricula have facilitated the obtention of the degrees based on the age of conclusion of the studies:  the easier the studies, the younger the students finish, given that the age of commencement of their studies is substantially  the same as the ge of commencement of the previous curricula.
