Kvalitet på elektronisk sykepleiedokumentasjon hos pasienter med hoftebrudd og helsetjenesteassosiert infeksjon
2019
Masteroppgave klinisk helsevitenskap ME520 - Universitetet i Agder 2019 Project background: Approximately 9000 patients with hip fractures are annually admitted to hospitals (Folkehelseinstituttet, 2016). About 50000 patients receive an annual health-related infectionthat cangive more number of bed nightsand an increasedrisk of mortality. Good infection control procedurescan prevent some of the health related infections (Helse-og omsorgsdepartementet, 2008b). Nursing for these patients consists of a pre-and a postoperative periodwhere observations of signs of complications are important(Knutstad, 2013). Research shows that nursing documentation in several cases is poor, both in relation to …
RPAS AND TLS TECNIQUES FOR ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY: THE CASE STUDY OF THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF ERACLEA MINOA (ITALY)
2018
Abstract. Digital documentation and 3D modelling of archaeological sites are important for understanding, definition and recognition of the values of the sites and of the archaeological finds. The most part of archaeological sites are outdoor location, but a cover to preserve the ruins protects often parts of the sites. The possibility to acquire data with different techniques and merge them by using a single reference system allows creating multi-parties models in which 3D representations of the individual objects can be inserted. The paper presents the results of a recent study carried out by Geomatics Laboratory of University of Palermo for the digital documentation and 3D modelling of E…
3D survey in complex archaeological environments: An approach by terrestrial laser scanning
2018
Abstract. The survey of archaeological sites by appropriate geomatics technologies is an important research topic. In particular, the 3D survey by terrestrial laser scanning has become a common practice for 3D archaeological data collection. Even if terrestrial laser scanning survey is quite well established, due to the complexity of the most archaeological contexts, many issues can arise and make the survey more difficult. The aim of this work is to describe the methodology chosen for a terrestrial laser scanning survey in a complex archaeological environment according to the issues related to the particular structure of the site. The developed approach was used for the terrestrial laser s…
UAV SURVEY FOR THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MAP OF LILYBAEUM (MARSALA, ITALY)
2019
Abstract. Collecting information and mapping are fundamental aspects of systematic archaeological excavation, documentation and interpretation. The process of recording physical evidence is the first step in the archaeological study with the goal to derive spatial and semantic information from the gathered and available data. Archaeological reports always include 2D maps, sections, data distribution and other spatial data. Indeed, the representation is inseparable from the archaeological practice, but this is undoubtedly a time-consuming activity. Nowadays, archaeologists can take advantages of various recording techniques to produce highly accurate 3D models and ortho-images of archaeologi…

Nursing documentation of pressure ulcers in nursing homes: comparison of record content and patient examinations
2016
Aim The aim of this study was to describe the accuracy and quality of nursing documentation of the prevalence, risk factors and prevention of pressure ulcers, and compare retrospective audits of nursing documentation with patient examinations conducted in nursing homes. Design This study used a cross-sectional descriptive design. Method A retrospective audit of 155 patients' records and patient examinations using the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel form and the Braden scale, conducted in January and February 2013. Results The prevalence of pressure ulcers was 38 (26%) in the audit of the patient records and 33 (22%) in patient examinations. A total of 17 (45%) of the documented press…
Applying Minimalism in the Real World: Results From a Workshop
2020
Minimalism is a user-centered, contextual and goal-oriented approach to technical communication originally developed by John M. Carroll (1990). In minimalism, the aim is to produce user documentation that focuses on the user’s needs, helps the user recover from error situations, and strengthens the user’s skills in working with the system (Carroll & van der Meij 1995: 245). The challenge with minimalism has been its practical application: although user-centeredness – the core of minimalism – is the key issue in technical communication, the abstract nature of the approach and its focus on software documentation has made it difficult to apply in industry settings (Virtaluoto, Suojanen & Isohe…
Vastuullisuusarvot suomalaisten tekstiiliyritysten tarinoissa
2022
Textile industry causes significant negative environmental and social impacts. Sustainability in the industry has lately yielded more and more research interest, however, sustainability communication is underresearched area. In this paper, we will focus on sustainability communications in the Finnish textile industry through the stories of companies in their webpages. Storytelling has traditionally been a mode of transmitting, producing and reproducing the culture. Stories produce a structure in the reality, explain phenomena and concretize abstract concepts. In this research, we approach the stories as rhetorical devises, which address, attract and connect the reader to the company behind …
Manuale di linguistica ladina
2020
This volume is the first comprehensive handbook on Ladin linguistics. Ladin ("ladino brissino-tirolese" in Italian) is a group of varieties belonging to Rhaeto-Romance and spoken in North-eastern Italy. The volume consists of 18 chapters divided into three sections: 1. history and description of the internal linguistic properties of the Ladin varieties; 2. sociolinguistics and normalisation processes of Ladin; 3. tools for documenting and studying the Ladin varieties. Since this is the first handbook entirely dedicated to this language group, it aims both at a description that covers all the traditional topics and at an overview of the most recent approaches to the study and the preservatio…
Towards semantic modelling of cultural historical data.
2010
In this paper a practical method is presented for creating documentation of cultural historical targets using an event-centric core ontology. By using semantic documentation templates and an XML-based query language, a domain specific documentation model can be created and flexible user interfaces can be built easily for accessing and editing the documentation. Keywords. ontologies, cultural historical documentation, information retrieval peerReviewed
