Detecting crop irrigation status in orchard canopies with airborne and ASTER thermal imagery

This work provides a description of the research conducted to assess if ASTER satellite data enable the detection of the water status in orchard tree crops. Summer and winter TERRA-ASTER images were acquired over a study area of Seville in southern Spain over a 6-year period. 1076 olive orchards were monitored in this area, obtaining field location, area, tree density, and irrigation status information. Surface temperature images were obtained using the TES method and 0.5 m resolution panchromatic ortho-rectified imagery collected over the entire area to obtain vegetation cover. [EN] A multi-technique strategy, including microscopy, spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques, is proposed to study thin corrosion layers that form on the surface of historic copper-based coins. An accurate characterisation of this external corrosion layer is important for selecting a suitable conservation and/or restoration treatment. For this purpose, a series of copper-based coins from different historical periods and provenances, which mainly exhibited atmospheric corrosion, was analysed. We wstępnej części artykułu zostaną zaprezentowane kategorie OBCY, INNY oraz SWÓJ w różnych konfiguracjach (opozycja komplementarna, triada), obecnych w dyskursie tożsamościowym. Następnie przedstawione zostaną determinanty tożsamości: konfesja i język grupy mieszkańców Zelowa – potomków czeskich emigrantów religijnych. W końcowej części artykułu podkreśla się, że obraz potomków czeskich emigrantów jest zmienny w czasie: początkowo była to grupa homogeniczna pod względem wyznaniowym, etnicznym i językowym, a obecnie jest grupą zasymilowaną językowo i kulturowo.
