The Ecological Footprint (EF) method is applied here to assess alternative policies regarding the Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) management. This approach arises from two considerations. Ekseģēze veikta, pielietojot Gerharda Maiera izstrādāto bibliski vēsturisko Bībeles interpretācijas metodi.
The effect of chitosan on the bioaccessibility and intestinal permeability of acyclovir

Chitosan is object of pharmaceutical research as a candidate permeability enhancer. However, chitosan was recently shown to reduce the oral bioavailability of acyclovir in humans. The effect of chitosan on two processes determining the oral bioavailability of acyclovir, bioaccessibility and intestinal absorption, was now investigated. Acyclovir's bioaccessibility was studied using the dynamic TNO gastro-Intestinal Model (TIM-1). Four epithelial models were used for permeability experiments: a Caco-2 cell model in absence and presence of mucus and both rat and porcine excised intestinal segments. This article presents the main features of a novel construction, symbolic analysis, for automatic source code processing. The method is superior to the known methods, because it uses a semiotic, interpretative approach. Its most important processes and characteristics are considered here. We describe symbolic information retrieval and the process of analysis in which it can be used in order to obtain pragmatic information. This, in turn, is useful in understanding a current Java program version when developing a new version.

It is essential to estimate evapotranspiration (ET) in this region since the primary productivity is directly linked to water availability. Information provided by satellite missions allows monitoring the spatial and temporal variability of ET. One key question is why CD8+ T cell responses to two HIV-Gag regions are uniquely associated with delayed disease progression only in patients expressing a few rare HLA class I variants when these regions encode epitopes presented by ∼30 more common HLA variants.
