Background To evaluate the efficacy of tulsi extract mouthrinse in reducing halitosis as compared to chlorhexidine and hydrogen peroxide mouthrinses using spectrophotometric analysis. Material and methods It was a parallel, single center, double blinded randomized controlled trial of 15 days duration. A total of 300 participants were screened, out of which 45 subjects those fulfilled inclusion criteria of age range 17-35 years were included in the trial. The essay explores the “horizontal effectiveness” of fundamental rights and fundamental freedoms, i.e. the relationship between private law and the fundamental rights and freedoms recognized by the EU Charter, the European Convention and the EU Treaties. The author reflects on the reasons that impede the horizontal efficacy, i.e.the effectiveness in relationships between private parties, of certain fundamental freedoms. The essay analyzes the category of remedy by reviewing the main conceptions which have emerged so far. Useful elements are drawn from the critical analysis of the most articulated these, providing a notion of remedy able to highlight its essential feauteres, its applicative potential and its limits. To this end, the essay deals with some emblematic cases in which there has been too loose a use of the category of remedy. The end of the study illustrates a notion of remedy that appears more rigorous and more in keeping with the characteristics if the iurisdictio.
Cost-effectiveness of sofosbuvir-based triple therapy for untreated patients with genotype 1 chronic hepatitis C

We assessed the cost-effectiveness of sofosbuvir (SOF)-based triple therapy (TT) compared with boceprevir (BOC)- and telaprevir (TVR)-based TT in untreated genotype 1 (G1) chronic hepatitis C (CHC) patients discriminated according to IL28B genotype, severity of liver fibrosis, and G1 subtype. The available published literature provided the data source. The target population was made up of untreated Caucasian patients, aged 50 years, with G1CHC and these were evaluated over a lifetime horizon by Markov model.
