Uncovering the hidden actors with the help of Latour: the ‘making’ of The Second Sex
2010

Heidegger on Poetry: What is Sudeep Sen for?
2015
Heidegger on Poetry: What is Sudeep Sen for? Cross-reading of works by contemporary Indian English poet Sudeep Sen and German philosopher Martin Heidegger highlights some unexpected themes and parallels of both authors’ world-views. Somewhat poetical and often drawing on allusions, the analysis is inspired by the approach on new historicism and its founder, Stephan Greenblatt. Sen and Heidegger, both praised for their attention towards language and beyond, share discoveries regarding existence in destitute time, suspicion about science and technologies, and finding of traces that could lead let the man back to gods.
Teaching Petrarchan and Anti-Petrarchan Discourses in Early Modern English Lyrics
2012
The aim of the present article is to help students realize that Petrarchism has been an influential source of inspiration for Early Modern English lyrics. Its topics and conventions have lent themselves to a wide variety of appropriations which the present selection of texts for analysis tries to illustrate. A few telling examples from Spenser, Sidney, Donne and Marvell have been chosen where the topic of the lady cast as a valuable treasure is variously addressed. Whereas Spenser’s Sonnet 15 of his Amoretti conveys the lover’s confident hope of its possession in a near marriage, Sidney’s Sonnet 37 of Astrophil and Stella portrays his frustration at the idea of being robbed of his cherished…
Conscious Entertainment: Commitment in the Reggae Lyrics of Clinton Fearon and Protoje
2016
International audience; This article provides an analysis of the lyrics of Clinton Fearon and Protoje, two major figures of contemporary Jamaican popular music. They are consistently described as committed singers/songwriters and proficient lyricists in a context where reggae music and culture are seen as falling into the excesses of violence and “slackness.” A study of commitment in their respective last two albums will show that despite some contradictions, conscious reggae is still alive today.

Sleep Quality, Duration, and Associated Sexual Function at Older Age: Findings from the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing

La location de l'usage : une interprétation écoresponsable du service ? : cas des biens en partage
2013
Offers of sharing services are springing up in cities: Vélib’, Autolib’, carsharing.... Using up involves sharing the service with multiple users and agreeing to separate oneself from all materialism in favor of functionality. This is also an argument towards a more responsible consumption. Hiring or buying, what does the consumer think about it? The value lies in the benefits of use rather than in its possession. It is also a new meaningful experience accepted, tinkered, refused or reinterpreted by the consumers. According to the Grounded Theory principles, a data collection based on life stories, it provides us new information on the attractiveness of this offer of service; and according …
