Cinq theses sur la litterature-monde en français: une polémique

Le concept de littérature-monde n’est pas dénué de contradictions internes. Le présent article tente de s’interroger sur les fondements idéologiques de cette notion et la conjoncture internationale qui l’a fait naître. Sous formes de thèses et de manière volontairement polémique, l’article tente de montrer que la notion même est le résultat d’une littérature française dont la primauté est de plus en plus contestée. Par ailleurs, lorsque les fondateurs de ce concept déclarent la fin de la Francophonie, il est peu clair de quelle francophonie ils parlent et ils ne semblent guère familiers avec les organisations francophones. The Old English term heoru reconsidered

L’articolo prende in considerazione il lessema anglosassone ‘heoru’ e i suoi numerosi composti, allo scopo di dimostrare come il significato di ‘spada’ ad esso attribuito dalla maggior parte dei dizionari e delle grammatiche sia in realtà non del tutto corretto. Alla luce di un’analisi completa dei passi letterari - in tutto il corpus anglosassone - in cui occorrono tali termini, e sulla base anche di un confronto con le kenning anglosassoni ad essi collegate, si dimostra che nella maggior parte dei casi il termine assume, mediante meccanismi di tipo metonimico, dei valori traslati che andrebbero registrati nei dizionari per una efficace comprensione dei testi in questione.

Fay's identity on Riemann surfaces is a powerful tool in the context of algebro-geometric solutions to integrable equations. This relation generalizes a well-known identity for the cross-ratio function in the complex plane. It allows to establish relations between theta functions and their derivatives. This offers a complementary approach to algebro-geometric solutions of integrable equations with certain advantages with respect to the use of Baker-Akhiezer functions. It has been successfully applied by Mumford et al. to the Korteweg-de Vries, Kadomtsev-Petviashvili and sine-Gordon equations. This paper describes the cultural semantics of internet courses in American accent. Such courses are offered by corporate providers to specific groups of customers: people in search of success in the globalized business environment. The core of such courses is an order of indexicality which stresses uniformity and homogeneity, producing an invisible accent that replaces existing ‘foreign’ (i.e. authentic, biographic) accents. It is a new form of commodified dialectology, which differs quite substantially from common state and academic attitudes towards dialects and accents. A number of phonetic and phonological changes have lately been observed in most geographical varieties of British English. This phenomenon seems to have been accelerated by increasing social and geographical mobility in the past decades. Based on a corpus mainly consisting of several hours of spontaneous interaction between a number of native NW Yorkshire speakers divided into different age groups, this research identifies and analyses several segmental and suprasegmental innovations observed in apparent time in a set of accents associated with a circumscribed geographical area. In questa nota si prendono in esame quattro libri pubblicati tra il 2018 e il 2020 che affrontano il tema da prospettive differenti come il ruolo politico degli ebrei nell'Italia liberale e negli anni della grande guerra, la storia delle persecuzioni in età fascista, il problematico avvento della Repubblica, la raffigurazione degli ebrei e di Israele nelle sinistre italiane e la più generale percezione di Israele nel mondo politico e culturale italiano.
Synonymy: The unbearable ficklness of meaning

Standard definitions of synonymy become problematic under close scrutiny of nouns occurring in two contexts of Italian: clauses with Negative Polarity Items and noun phrases with Complex Nominal Determiners. Such nouns are non-referring expressions, do not carry literal meaning, often give rise to metaphor and intensity, and preclude decomposition into elementary semantic features as conceived in Componential Analysis. The inconsequence of semantic features and a number of syntactic constraints suggest that these nouns are best analyzed as parts of multi-word expressions working as function phrases.
