An accurate estimation of the axial compression capacity of the concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) column is crucial for ensuring the safety of structures containing them and preventing related failures. In this article, two novel hybrid fuzzy systems (FS) were used to create a new framework for estimating the axial compression capacity of circular CCFST columns. In the hybrid models, differential evolution (DE) and firefly algorithm (FFA) techniques are employed in order to obtain the optimal membership functions of the base FS model. In questo lavoro è stato applicato il metodo del cut-compliance (CC) per la determinzazione delle tensioni residue in giunti friction stir welding (FSW) saldati con una forma T. È riconosciuto che il metodo del CC fornisce ottimi risultati per i giunti di testa la cui geometria è simile al provino CT per prove di fatica. In letteratura, tuttavia, non è presente alcuna applicazione di questo metodo a forme differenti da quelle del giunto di testa poiché non sono note le funzioni di peso e di forma per differenti geometrie. The solid state welding processes allow joints free from defects with reduced residual stresses and low distortion. However, such processes are generally characterized by a complex mechanical junction because of the particular material flow. Introduction: In the last decades sperm DNA quality has been recognized as one of the most important markers of male reproductive potential (Lewis and Aitken, 2005; Ozmen, 2007; Tarozzi, 2007), in contrast to standard semen parameters as sperm density, motility and morphology, which do not act as powerful discriminators between fertile and infertile men.
