Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cellular adhesion molecule 1 (CEACAM1) is a cell surface molecule that has been proposed to negatively regulate T cell function. We have shown that CEACAM1 is associated with specific regulation of T helper cell (Th)1 pathways, T-bet–mediated Th1 cytokine signaling, and Th1-mediated immunopathology in vivo. Mice treated with anti–mouse CEACAM1-specific monoclonal antibody (mAb) CC1 during the effector phase exhibited a reduced severity of trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid colitis in association with decreased interferon (IFN)-γ production. This paper investigates how a p2p television platform can take advantage of the presence of frequent channel viewers to grant them a more satisfying service than to less regular spectators. The idea we explore is to learn beforehand about the users’ interests, in order to cluster them in groups that display different behaviors; then, the video chunk scheduling algorithm of the p2p overlay is altered, with the aim of serving frequent spectators in a privileged manner, providing them with a faster access to the selected channel. Tregs play a central role in modulating FcεRI-dependent MC effector functions in the course of the allergic response. Cellular interaction depends on the constitutive expression of OX40 on Tregs and the OX40L counterpart on MCs. Study of OX40L signaling on MCs is hampered by the need of a highly purified molecule, which triggers OX40L specifically. We now report that sOX40 mimics the physiological activity of Treg interaction by binding to activated MCs. The properties of nanostructured cobalt in the fields of magnetic, catalytic and biomaterials depend critically on Co close-packing. In this paper we report a structural analysis of nanosized cobalt based on the whole XRD pattern simulation allowed by the Debye equation. The underlying structural model involves statistical sequences of cobalt layers and produces simulated XRD powder patterns bearing the concurrent signatures of hexagonal and cubic close packing. Size distribution, shape and distance distribution between pairs of atoms are also modelled.
