Limitations of Quantum Walks and Randomized Algorithms

Šajā darbā tiek pētīta algoritmu sarežģītība dažādos skaitļošanas modeļos. Konkrētāk, tiek pētītas kvantu klejošanas algoritmu īpašības un ierobežojumi, kā arī varbūtisko vaicājumalgoritmu darbības laika novērtēšanas metodes. Pirmajā daļā tiek aplūkotas Grovera kvantu klejošana un meklēšana grafos. Darbā tiek sniegts vispārīgs matemātisks apraksts klejošanas lokalizācijai un meklēšanas stacionārajiem stāvokļiem. Otrajā daļā tiek aplūkotas apakšējo novērtējumu metodes varbūtisko vaicājumalgoritmu modelī. Darbā tiek pierādīta klasisko pretinieka metožu asimptotiskā ekvivalence visur definētām funkcijām, un aprakstītas to atšķirības daļēji definētām funkcijām. Tiek arī aplūkota saistība starp …

Probabilistic computation and verification beyond Turing machines

Mūsu mērķis ir izpētīt dažādus ierobežotas kļūdas varbūtiskus modeļus, kas spēj definēt nesanumurējami daudz valodu. Mēs sākam ar stingrāko nosacījumu - sākumā apskatām minimālus modeļus, kas var atpazīt visas valodas. Mēs apskatām varbūtiskas Tjūringa mašīnas, varbūtiskus automātus ar skaitītājiem un varbūtiskus galīgus automātus ar dažādiem ierobežojumiem uz ievadgalviņu. Mēs apskatām arī konstantas telpas pārbaudītājus (verifiers), kas mijiedarbojas ar vienu un diviem pierādītājiem (provers) un pārbauda (verify) visas valodas. Kvantu skaitļošana ir nozare, kas pēta uz kvantu mehānikas likumiem balstīto skaitļošanas modeļu īpašības. Disertācija ir veltīta kvantu skaitļošanas algoritmiskiem aspektiem. Piedāvāti rezultāti trijos virzienos: Kvantu galīgi automāti Analizēta stāvokļu efektivitāte kvantu vienvirziena galīgam automātam. Uzlabota labāka zināmā eksponenciālā atšķirība [AF98] starp kvantu un klasiskajiem galīgajiem automātiem. Grovera algoritma analīze Pētīta Grovera algoritma noturība pret kļūdām. A Non-Local Two Dimensional Foundation Model

Classical foundation models such as the Pasternak and the Reissner models have been recently reformulated within the framework of non-local mechanics, by using the gradient theory of elasticity. To contribute to the research effort in this field, this paper presents a two-dimensional foundation model built by using a mechanically based non-local elasticity theory, recently proposed by the authors. Indentation of rigidly supported sandwich beams with foam cores exhibiting non-linear compressive behaviour.

A generalized analytical approach to investigate the indentation of sandwich beams under concentrated loads is presented, based on the Winkler foundation theory. A segment-wise model is implemented to the case of fully backed sandwich beams with polymeric foam cores exhibiting generic non-linear compressive behaviours. Closed-form analytical solutions of the indentation curve are obtained for simplified foam compression behaviours: elastic-perfectly-plastic, bilinear and bilinear-perfectly-plastic. Śląscy Teksańczycy, od ponad 150 lat mieszkający w okolicach San Antonio w Teksasie, to dziś grupa szacowana przez niektórych badaczy na ok. 200 tysięcy (1%) mieszkańców tego stanu. Osie-dlali się zwykle grupowo, w przeciwieństwie do tzw. emigrantów brazylijskich z podobnego czasu. Tak powstały i istnieją do dziś osady o nazwach: Panna Maria (tu się wszystko zaczęło), Cesto-chowa, St. Hedwig, Kościuszko, Bandera i inne. Wave-particle duality is the most fundamental description of the nature of a quantum object, which behaves like a classical particle or wave depending on the measurement apparatus. On the other hand, entanglement represents nonclassical correlations of composite quantum systems, being also a key resource in quantum information.
