Bimodal Approach for Noise Figures of Merit Evaluation in Quantum-Limited Josephson Traveling Wave Parametric Amplifiers

The advent of ultra-low noise microwave amplifiers revolutionized several research fields demanding quantum-limited technologies. Exploiting a theoretical bimodal description of a linear phase-preserving amplifier, in this contribution we analyze some of the intrinsic properties of a model architecture (i.e., an rf-SQUID based Josephson Traveling Wave Parametric Amplifier) in terms of amplification and noise generation for key case study input states (Fock and coherents). Furthermore, we present an analysis of the output signals generated by the parametric amplification mechanism when thermal noise fluctuations feed the device.
Deep learning approach for prediction of impact peak appearance at ground reaction force signal of running activity

Protruding impact peak is one of the features of vertical ground reaction force (GRF) that is related to injury risk while running. The present research is dedicated to predicting GRF impact peak appearance by setting a binary classification problem. Kinematic data, namely a number of raw signals in the sagittal plane, collected by the Vicon motion capture system (Oxford Metrics Group, UK) were employed as predictors. Theoretically thermochromic glazing has the potential to reduce energy consumption in buildings by allowing visible light for day lighting, reducing unwanted solar gain during the cooling season, while allowing useful solar gain in the heating season. In this study building simulation is used to predict the savings made by novel thermochromic glazing coatings compared to standard products, for locations with different climates. The results suggest that thermochromic glazing can have a significant energy saving effect compared to current approaches.
Performance analysis of amplify-and-forward cooperative communication systems with channel estimation errors

Cooperative diversity is a transmission technique that achieves a diversity gain by using a combination of the relayed signal and the direct signal. In this paper, we study the symbol-error-rate (SER) performance of a cooperative communication system operating in an amplify-and-forward (AF) mode, where the channel state information (CSI) available at the receiver is an estimate of the channel gains with estimation errors. Volframa oksidēšanās procesu izpētei izmantota pulvera rentgendifraktometrijas, termiskās analīzes un elektronu mikroskopijas metode, lai raksturotu volframa struktūru, virsmas morfoloģiju un novērtētu mitruma ietekmi uz volframa oksidēšanos. Maģistra darba tēma ir “Mūzika kā veikala gaisotnes faktors un tās ietekme uz Latvijas pircēju uzvedību.” Pamatojoties uz teorētiskām atziņām, darbā tiks analizēta mūzikas kā sensoro sajūtu mārketinga stimula ietekme uz pircēju uzvedību un atbildes reakciju stimulēšanu mazumtirdzniecības vidē, kā arī mūzikas ietekme uz tirdzniecības personāla apmierinātību un darba efektivitāti.
