Abstract In this paper we consider repeated coalitional games with transferable utilities (TU) over networks. Namely, we consider a set of n players that have to distribute among themselves a vector of rewards (one for each player). In our network version there is no coordinator allocating the rewards, but the agents have to agree on a common time-averaged vector by updating the local estimates of the reward vector. The common time-averaged reward vector has to approach a suitable constraint set, called core of the game, that guarantees that no agents benefit from quitting the grand coalition. Vehicular Cloud Computing (VCC) is envisioned as a promising approach to increase computation capabilities of vehicle devices for emerging resource-hungry mobile applications. In this paper, we introduce the new concept of Vehicular Fog Computing (VFC). The Fog Computing (FC) paradigm evolved and is employed to enhance the quality of cloud computing services by extending it to the edge of the network using one or more collaborative end-user clients or near-user edge devices. Energy management and demand control through conventional energy generation sources are challenging for energy providers. Distributed energy resources (DERs) allocation near load centers may provide a suitable solution. The main contribution of the paper improves the voltage profile and reduce the active and reactive power losses in the distribution network. Distributed $n$-player approachability and consensus in coalitional games

We study a distributed allocation process where, at each time, every player: i) proposes a new bid based on the average utilities produced up to that time, ii) adjusts such allocations based on the inputs received from its neighbors, and iii) generates and allocates new utilities. The average allocations evolve according to a doubly (over time and space) averaging algorithm. We study conditions under which the average allocations reach consensus to any point within a predefined target set even in the presence of adversarial disturbances. On the local and global regularity of tug-of-war games

This thesis studies local and global regularity properties of a stochastic two-player zero-sum game called tug-of-war. In particular, we study value functions of the game locally as well as globally, that is, close to the boundaries of the game domains. Furthermore, we formulate a continuous time stochastic differential game and discuss, among other things, the equicontinuity of the families of value functions. We prove an asymptotic Lipschitz estimate for value functions of tug-of-war games with varying probabilities defined in $\Omega\subset \mathbb R^n$. The method of the proof is based on a game-theoretic idea to estimate the value of a related game defined in $\Omega\times \Omega$ via couplings.

Balancing food, activity and the dangers of sunlit nights

Living in northern latitudes poses challenges to the animals that live in those habitats. The harsh environment provides a short breeding season where the sunlit summer nights provide little reprieve from visibility to predators and increased risk. In this paper, we tested the activity and food choice patterns of bank voles Myodes glareolus in early spring season, categorized by 18 h of daylight and 6 h of dusk in every day cycle. We found that territorial females showed a less predictable pattern of activity than males that were most active during the hours of dusk.
